Tomorrow, fans across the nation will tune in to watch Super Bowl 50. Some will watch from the comfort of their La Jolla homes with friends and family, while others will attend events and parties held at restaurants across the Jewel. There are quite a few places to choose from and many are offering special menus and pricing on game day.
Below is a list of places in La Jolla to watch the Super Bowl that promise good food and company:
1. Draft Republic, 4282 Esplanade Ct., La Jolla
On February 1st, Locale Magazine published a list of great places in San Diego to watch the Super Bowl. In La Jolla, they recommended Draft Republic, which boasts 14 big screen TVs, Ping-Pong, foosball, shuffleboard and billiards. On game day, Executive Chef Mike Camplin is offering a $15 Super Sunday Happy Meal Combo and small bites for $5.
2. Prospect Bar & Grill, 1025 Prospect St., La Jolla
Prospect Bar & Grill also made Locale Magazine's list. The restaurant is holding a pre-game party with live music. They will also have prizes and giveaways during the game.
3. La Jolla Brewing Company, 7536 Fay Ave., La Jolla
Lajollabluebook also made a list of the best Super Bowl 50 viewing spots. Their top choice was La Jolla Brewing Company, which features numerous TVs, a state-of-the-art tasting room and locally inspired beverages. They offer a Sunday Brunch special every week from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
4. La Jolla Tap & Grill, 6830 La Jolla Blvd., La Jolla
La Jolla Tap & Grill also made lajollabluebook’s list. The new restaurant is holding Super Bowl specials, such as half price flatbreads and wings.
5. The Shack Bar & Grill, 6941 La Jolla Blvd., La Jolla
The Shack Bar & Grill features 16 TVs to watch the game on. In honor of Super Bowl 50, the restaurant is offering proper football fare at a discounted price. Per lajollabluebook, on game day the restaurant will have wings on sale for $7.95.
6. Regents Pizzeria, 4150 Regents Park Row, La Jolla
The The San Diego Eater suggested visiting Regents Pizzeria on game day. The article stated that the pizzeria was recently remodeled and has quite a few TVs. In addition, Regents Pizzeria is holding Super Bowl drink specials and offering garlic knots, hot wings, cheese sticks, sliders and pizza.
7. Galaxy Taco, 2259 Avenida De La Playa, La Jolla
Galaxy Taco’s Executive Chef, Trey Foshee, and Chef de Cuisine, Christine Rivera, have assembled a special Super Bowl 50 menu that includes nachos, tacos, sliders and Adobo-marinated wings.
8. Hyatt Regency La Jolla at Aventine, 3777 La Jolla Village Dr., La Jolla
Hyatt Regency La Jolla at Aventine is offering an “All You Can Eat Game Buffet” for $20 per person. The special will take place at Michael’s Lounge, which features 12 TVs, so you won’t miss a moment of the game while partaking in 3 Bean Chili, Build Your Own Nachos, chicken wings, Meatballs Parmesan, BBQ pork sliders or their dessert offerings.
